Lunch Recipes
What could be better than the flavors of chicken, bacon, and ranch? A lower calorie version of your favorite sandwich, of course! Each of these wraps has less than 400 calories while still featuring the full-flavored goodness of protein-packed chicken, smokey and salty turkey bacon, and herbaceous ranch. Add in some carrots, broccoli, and lettuce to amp-up the nutrition content, and you’ll have our Skinny Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps. They’re easy to pack for weekday lunches, but they also make a fantastic quick-and-easy dinner.

If you’re packing these for lunch, we’d recommend rolling them when you’re ready to eat. You could pre-roll the wraps, but you’ll run the risk of everything becoming a bit soggy. If you’re planning to heat up the chicken and bacon, pack them in a separate container. Then, pop them in the microwave when you’re ready to eat. Pile all the ingredients onto the whole-wheat tortilla, drizzle on your favorite clean-eating ranch, and roll it all up.
Our Favorite Ranch Recipe
Even though these Skinny Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps are not plant-based, we still love using our plant-based ranch recipe to make them. It’s really become our go-to condiment! We love that it has all the flavor of a traditional recipe but with only 25 calories per tablespoon. That’s less than one-third of the calories in regular ranch. Wow!
And, since we use soaked cashews as the base, it’s also a dairy-free recipe. You really won’t be able to tell the difference once you combine the pureed cashews with garlic, onion, chives, parsley, and lemon juice. Add in a touch of apple cider vinegar to give it a nice tangy flavor and off you go!
The Best Way to Cook the Chicken
SkinnyMs
We’ve left cooking the chicken up to you. You could use leftover chicken from last night’s dinner, or you could even pick up a store-bought rotisserie chicken. Be careful to check the ingredients on the latter, though, because sometimes these chickens have added oils, sugars, salt, or preservatives. If you don’t have any leftover chicken, you can use one of these methods to cook the chicken.
Simmering Chicken
If you prefer shredded chicken, place the chicken breast in a small saucepan and cover it with water. Simmer gently until the chicken is cooked all the way through, about 20 minutes. If you’re running short on time, you can chop the raw chicken into smaller pieces to cut the cooking time in half.
Grilling Chicken
Personally, my favorite chicken for these Skinny Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps is grilled. You can follow our recipe for Grilled Chipotle Chicken, which cooks the chicken for about 6 minutes a side. Grilling the chicken infuses it with a smokey, slightly charred flavor, adding a ton of flavor with very little effort!
Oven-Roasted Chicken
If you don’t have a grill, you can still get fantastic flavor by oven-roasting the chicken. Follow the instructions for our One-Pan Honey Roasted Chicken. It should only take about 20 minutes in a 400 degree F oven.
No matter how you cook the chicken, these Skinny Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps are a winner every time.
Ingredients
2 fat-free whole wheat tortilla wraps
1 (6 to 8 ounce) boneless and skinless chicken breast, cooked and sliced into strips
2 slices turkey bacon, chopped
1/2 cup romaine lettuce, shredded
1/4 cup broccoli, finely chopped
1/4 cup carrot, peeled and shredded
2 tablespoons clean eating ranch dressing, like our plant-based ranch
Instructions
Lay the tortilla wraps on a flat surface, place the chicken, bacon, romaine, broccoli, and carrot down the center, dividing evenly between the two wraps. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of ranch into each wrap.
Carefully roll into a burrito shape and cut in half, serve.
